Digita is now Great Place To Work certified – “We are on our way to become the best place to work in the industry”
In October 2023, Digita was honored to receive the Great Place To Work (GPTW) certification that guides work communities and cultures. The certification is a reliable and globally recognized acknowledgment that demonstrates a superior employee experience, a culture of trust and a commitment to building a good workplace. The certification is a recognition granted by a third party, Great Place To Work®, for a superior employee experience. The employee experience was measured using the Trust Index personnel survey, ensuring that the certification is based on our employees’ authentic experiences.
Mervi Leipijärvi, Human Resources Director at Digita, and the entire management at Digita are satisfied with the company’s results. “We want to thank our entire staff for your valuable feedback and congratulate you on your good performance. Our GPTW index was excellent, and we were awarded the 2023–2024 Great Place To Work certification. This is a great achievement!” says Leipijärvi.
Pride in one’s work and equality are an integral part of Digita’s work culture
Digita’s values include keeping promises, the desire to grow courageously and the importance of collaboration. The latter is a driving force for Digita’s personnel, which is also strongly evident in the personnel survey’s responses.
“According to the responses, Digita’s strengths are equality, community, one’s personal work, pride and the image of the organization. We need to strengthen these areas to keep them at an excellent level. By listening to our employees, we also get an overview of relevant development needs, such as collaboration, communication, integrity and support. We have started an action program where we define clear measures to improve these areas as well. This enables us to move towards our strategic goal – to be the best workplace in the industry!” says Leipijärvi.
The most significant figures were overall employee satisfaction with the workplace and equality in the work community. Here are examples of the study results:
· As many as 83 percent of employees think that, overall, Digita is a really good place to work. According to studies carried out on the basis of GPTW certification, this figure is typically 38 per cent for a Finnish company.
· 96 percent of employees think that people are treated equally regardless of sexual orientation, and 94 percent think that Digita treats people equally regardless of their ethnicity.
· Digita’s efforts to emphasize community and common goals have also been successful, given that 93 percent of employees feel that their work matters.
People as Digita’s most valuable asset
Digita’s strategic goal is to be the best place to work in the industry. Leipijärvi emphasizes the importance of employee feedback and explains that it is the most valuable guideline for the company to follow in the future. “Our personnel is our most important asset. That is why we need to take extra care of our staff.”
Some comments from Digita’s employees:
“The working atmosphere is good, and I can rely on my colleagues and their help. Digita plays a big role in Finnish communication and bringing new technologies to the market, which is something that inspires me in my work.”
“I particularly value the diversity of work tasks. My job gives me the opportunity to take on a variety of challenging tasks, which enables me to learn new things and develop my skills continuously. And the team I work for is really impressive. My colleagues are especially skilled, motivated and collaborative. A strong team spirit and a positive atmosphere are an integral part of a good work environment, and I believe these factors enable us to work efficiently and achieve tangible results.”
Being certified means that Digita now has the possibility to be ranked on the Best Workplaces in Finland list. Each year, the list features Finland’s top 50 most distinguished workplaces from among the certified companies. “We look forward to receiving these results,” says Leipijärvi.
