The year 2022 is nearing its end and it is time to take a look at what the year brought and what the coming year looks like. This year, too, has been overshadowed by exceptional crises in the world. As the Covid restrictions were lifted and the world opened up, Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and the devastating situation faced by the Ukrainian people have touched each of us deeply. Like the rest of the world, we hope that peace will return quickly and that reconstruction will begin.

For Digita, this year has made it possible to take significant steps in our new business operations. We have established ourselves as Finland’s largest independent mast company, and management of rooftop installations for real estate companies has become an essential part of our offering. This allows us to provide high-quality digital infrastructure for mobile operators and other actors building mobile networks.

Our private network project together with Nokia and Telia has intensified, and our solutions are of interest to industrial actors who value excellent reliability and functionality, as well as critical operators such as mining companies. One of the largest 5G private networks in the world has been put into production use at Agnico Eagle’s Kittilä mine. The offering of our Data Center business will grow in the spring of 2023 with the completion of our new Pieni Paja data center. Pieni Paja’s unique location at a telecommunications hub offers excellent connections to places around the world.

Our IoT business has continued in its successful trajectory especially among water utility customers, and as a new customer group, power distribution looks very promising also internationally. The next phase is also starting in our TV business, as the new SMP decision has entered into force and the conditions are now good for launching a large-scale HD transition. Our nationwide organisation is ready. Since the autumn, our pay-TV customers have been delighted by the new Antero brand, which has been well received.

A big thank you to everyone who responded to our annual customer experience survey, your feedback is very valuable to us and a good starting point for developing our customer work. Our recommendation index (NPS) remained the same as in the previous year at +37. According to your feedback, our strengths continue to include a good attitude, reliable operations and keeping promises, and genuine cooperation with customers. We continue to operate very professionally and cooperation with us is easy and considerate. Areas for development in our operations include emphasising customer orientation instead of solution orientation. In addition, you want us to be more insightful in the development of your business. We genuinely want to develop these things together with you to promote our cooperation. We are always open to hearing your feedback.
