Digita has entered an IoT partnership with technology company IBM.
Digita will join IBM’s IoT partner network, which brings together IoT
technology experts from the software industry in particular. To this ecosystem,
Digita will bring its nationwide IoT network, which is implemented using LoRa
technology, and its long experience as a producer of critical data transfer
solutions.

IBM’s technical expertise and extensive experience as an IoT service
provider will further strengthen Digita’s IoT service offering. This
partnership will also enable Digita’s IoT customers to benefit from an even
more diverse range of IoT solutions than before. Digita’s LoRaWAN IoT network,
which is being built using Digita’s high masts, will provide a reliable and
secure solution for other members of the IBM partner network as well.

“Our IoT service offering will be further strengthened by this
partnership. Other partners will also benefit, as they will be able to use
Digita’s nationwide bidirectional IoT network when developing their own
solutions. This partnership provides various synergy gains for all parties,”
says Ari Kuukka, Director, IoT
Services at Digita.

“By joining the IBM
Bluemix IoT Partner ecosystem, Digita will complement our ecosystem perfectly
in a key area. We can now offer our customers and partners a nationwide IoT
network, in which Bluemix provides an excellent and versatile starting point
for innovation and the development of IoT solutions,” says Kim Johnsson, Business Development Manager, IBM.

Digita is a long-term domestic operator, whose IoT network currently
covers around 95% of companies in cities and the countryside. In 2017, Digita
made major investments in developing its IoT network, boosting the further
development of indoor IoT solutions in particular. Digita’s IoT solutions
enable versatile services without complicated local network or gateway
solutions in buildings.
