Significant changes will be made in antenna tv network Tuesday 19, November – Interruptions in tv channels

Published: 18.11.2024

HELSINKI 18, November 2024 - Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Digita will make significant changes to its antenna TV network between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The changes will cause interruptions to antenna TV channels all over Finland. On the channels MTV Sub, Liv, Jim, Alfa, One Way TV and Iskuri.net, the interruptions last 10–30 minutes, the interruptions on other channels are shorter. After the changes, antenna tv households may need to perform channel search again.

“A channel number change in the terrestrial TV network means that the channel positions of the channels will change. After the update, the high-definition or HD versions of free-to-view TV channels will be listed first in the list of channels under numbers 1 to 20. Standard definition channels will be moved to channel numbers 21 to 39. All TV channels will continue in the portfolio,” says Tom Jungell, Senior Vice President, Broadcast, at Digita.

“After the changes, terrestrial TV households may need to perform a channel search again. Most TV receivers will automatically perform the channel search. We will inform you through our own channels and send out a press release when the changes have ended and a channel search can be done,” Jungell adds.

Expert’s tips for getting TV channels to show correctly:
